With the holiday season fast approaching, there’s no better time to start planning your winter Disney vacation. Our Disney vacation planners have gathered some of the top pieces of winter Walt Disney World news for you today to help you get one step ahead with planning your next trip to Orlando.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is back this year, and we can’t wait for people to experience this event once again during their Disney vacation. That being said, you’ll want to work with our Disney vacation planners to book your tickets as soon as possible, as dates are already selling out. With the high demand we’ve seen for the Halloween parties this season, we expect this event will also sell out completely as we get nearer to the holiday season.

Christmas Begins on November 11, 2022

November 11th, 2022 is the date when the holiday celebrations begin across the Walt Disney World resort. If you are looking to escape the holiday crowds, we recommend planning a trip in mid-November or early December for the slightly lower crowd levels. Expect stunning decorations in each of the parks and special events and treats for the holiday season. Disney Springs is one of our favorite places to go on your Disney vacation if you are taking a day off from the parks, as it offers some beautiful decorations and delicious holiday food options.

Extended Evening Hours for Deluxe Resort Guests

For anyone staying at a Deluxe or DVC resort during your holiday vacation, you’ll want to make sure you take advantage of the extended evening hours for these select resorts. The good news is that this holiday season, they are also offering extra hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios park. You’ll be able to enjoy more time exploring some of your favorite attractions and lands in this popular park, helping you to avoid the holiday crowds.

EPCOT International Festival of the Arts

We are excited to see the return of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts next January. This annual festival celebrates art, music, and theater over a few weeks. We also love the additional food booths that pop up during the festival, adding more options for dining during your vacation. If you plan your vacation carefully, you can sometimes fit in both the holiday decorations and this festival into one trip.

Winter is one of our favorite seasons to visit Walt Disney World. With the lower temperatures, you’ll find that it makes for a very pleasant time to explore the parks during your Disney vacation. Our Disney vacation planners will be on hand at any time to ensure that you maximize your time in the parks and enjoy many of the festive additions to the resort during this season. Get in touch with us today with any questions you have about planning your winter Disney vacation or to learn how we can help you to make the most of your time in the parks with a customized Orlando VIP Tour.
