When choosing a resort for your next Disney vacation, one of the top things to keep in mind is the pool on offer. Let’s take a look at some of the best Disney World resort pools, which will be ideal for an upcoming trip this spring or summer.
Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts
Without a doubt, the number one Disney resort pool on the property is Stormalong Bay. This pool is open to guests of both the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, and it offers endless hours of fun for families. You’ll enjoy a 230-foot water slide, a lazy river, and a sandy-bottomed pool. If a pool is your number one consideration for your Disney vacation resort, you can’t go wrong with staying here. Many guests stay at this resort just for the swimming pool, and you could easily spend your whole trip here without even thinking about entering the theme parks.
Lava Pool at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
While all of the deluxe resorts have great pools, we really enjoy the Lava Pool at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It’s based around a volcano structure, with a fun 142-foot water slide as its centerpiece. One of the things we love the most about this pool is its incredible views over the Seven Seas Lagoon. Kids will love spending hours playing here, while adults can enjoy the great food and drink on offer from the nearby pool bar.
Dig Site Pool at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
You don’t have to splash out on a deluxe resort to enjoy a great pool during your Disney vacation. This moderate resort has one of the best pools for kids and teens but also has some quiet pools for days where you are looking to rest and relax. The Dig Site has a 123-foot slide, hot tub, and plenty of seating, making it a great place for your family to get some much-needed time away from the parks on your Disney vacation.
Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Heading into the value resort category, we love the Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. It just goes to show you don’t have to spend a fortune to get great amenities for your Disney vacation, and the two other pools at this resort are just as fun too. The Big Blue Pool is themed after the classic movie Finding Nemo and has fun play areas beside it for younger kids to cool off. While this pool does draw quite a crowd in the summer months, you can always relocate to the Cars Cozy Cone pool for a quieter experience.
There’s no shortage of great pools at the Disney resorts for your upcoming Disney VIP Tour. In the hot Orlando weather, we highly recommend factoring in time each afternoon to rest and relax by the swimming pool. After some time out from the parks, you’ll be ready to head back for another evening of fun, exploring everything Walt Disney World has to offer guests.
