Orlando is jam-packed with places to go and things to see. It’s unlike any city and unlike any vacation, you will ever embark upon. Orlando is known for an abundance of theme parks, museums, water attractions, and nightlife. If you’re planning on traveling to Orlando, we’ve got you covered. Read on for the ultimate packing list!

Sun Protection Galore

Orlando is known for two things – Disney World and the sweltering Florida sun. The number one thing you don’t want to leave behind is sun protection. All kinds of sun protection, anything you can think of! If you’re visiting Orlando, chances are you will be enjoying the outdoors. Pack a bag that you can easily travel with and stock up on all kinds of sun protection.

The main item you need is sunscreen with SPF of 30 or higher. Sunblock will be your best friend on this vacation, especially if you’re visiting one of Disney’s infamous waterparks! Also, pack a hat and sunglasses for extra face protection.

Comfortable Footwear

No matter where your Orlando adventure takes you, you will be walking most of the time. It’s important to pack appropriate footwear for the activities you will be doing. For instance, if you’re visiting Universal Studios, pack sneakers, tennis shoes, or padded sandals. Flip-flops are a no go for theme parks. If you’re spending the day at a water attraction or by the pool, then flip-flops are a must. Days in Orlando are long and full of fun. You don’t want aching feet to ruin your trip, so pack comfortably!

Backpack

Backpack One of the most useful items you can bring along is a backpack or tote. If you’re spending all day at the parks, this isn’t something that should be overlooked. Pack a bag full of everything you need.

Here are some items we think every theme park goer should carry:

  • Sunscreen
  • Snacks
  • Water
  • Wallet
  • Hat
  • Poncho
  • Umbrella

Medicine

During your daylong endeavors, it’s possible you or your children will get a stomach ache, a headache, a blister, a fever or any other kind of issues. Pack a little first aid kit so that you’re prepared for any illnesses. A sick child at Disney is no fun, and you want them to have the best time possible. And a hangover is no fun either.

Traveling With Little Ones

Little Girl If you’re traveling to Orlando with your children, pack efficiently and effectively. Pack their clothes by outfit so you are able to get out the door easier in the mornings. For long plane rides or road trips, a portable DVD player or iPad will keep them busy and prevent complaining. Get into the Disney spirit with Disney movies and soundtracks. Your little ones will love being able to sing along to Frozen while on their way to the Frozen Ever After ride!

That wraps it up! Five Star’s ultimate packing list for your Orlando travels. Remember, the best way to pack correctly is to make a list.
