Disney XD also broadcast several shows such as Phineas and Ferb, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Star Wars Rebels, Gravity Falls, Milo Murphy’s Law, Walk the Prank, and many others. In 2016 Disney began talks with the Pokémon Company for the license of running Pokémon series on their channel, Disney XD. In 2017 Disney gained the full rights to air Pokémon series on their channel.

Disney Plus and Pokémon

Earlier this year Walt Disney Company released that they are in the development of an on-demand media streaming platform called Disney Plus. There aren’t many rumors regarding its content but we can assume that Walt Disney will be publishing all their owned content on the streaming service and from that assumption we can also assume that the Pokémon series will also be available on that platform. We cannot be sure though as it is all based on assumptions.

November 12, 2019, is the date of the release of the Disney plus platform and we have to wait and see what it offers. Even if the streaming service does not air Pokémon, we can still enjoy it on the Disney XD digital channel.
