Over the past few weeks, there have been plenty of announcements for Disney fans from around the world following the D23 Expo. Today we’re going to share some of the most exciting updates to help you plan your upcoming Disney vacation.

EPCOT’s 40th Anniversary Celebrations

October 1st, 2022 marks the 40th anniversary of EPCOT, and our Disney vacation planners were excited to hear the plans for this celebration. A new merchandise collection has been revealed, which you can purchase from this date, with additional items being released throughout the month. There are also some delicious new snacks and drinks to celebrate the occasion, which you’ll want to try on your next Disney vacation.

TRON Lightcycle Opening Date

One of the biggest pieces of news to come out of the D23 Expo was the announcement that the much-anticipated TRON Lightcycle ride in the Magic Kingdom will finally open in Spring 2023. While the exact date has still yet to be announced, this will make for an amazing addition to your next vacation itinerary.

Meet the Characters at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom

The Crystal Palace restaurant in Magic Kingdom is finally welcoming back the characters to this dining experience. This was one of the restaurants that’s been heavily impacted by the recent pandemic, but we can’t wait for you to be able to meet Winnie the Pooh and his friends during your next meal here.

Farewell to Disney KiteTails

One show we’ll be saying goodbye to this month is the Disney KiteTails show at Animal Kingdom. This kite show on the water has had mixed reviews since its introduction last year, but the sudden departure of the show came as quite a shock to our Disney vacation planners.

The Return of EPCOT Forever

If you are planning a trip in 2023, you might be able to catch EPCOT Forever again at the end of your day in this park. It was announced at the D23 Expo that Harmonious would be receiving a replacement in the future, and this temporary show will once again return to fill the gap until we receive a new fireworks spectacular in EPCOT.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Sells Out

People are certainly planning their Disney vacations well ahead of time nowadays, and we were surprised to hear that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has completely sold out for 2022. The good news is that even if you can’t attend the party on your Disney vacation, there are some great decorations and other fun events to help you celebrate the season when visiting Orlando at this time of the year.
