Going to Disneyland while you’re expecting can be a whole different experience in itself. Touring the vast Disney World while you’re pregnant can seem like an impossible task. But if you really want to do it, a little planning in advance can go a long way. Not only will it be possible, it can be actually quite enjoyable for you.

You may not be able to take every ride in the resort, but there’s a host of other things you can do!

Plan a safe and fun trip to Disney World by keeping these important tips in mind.

Go During the Off Season

One thing you do not want to be doing while pregnant at Disneyland is waiting in long lines among a large crowd of people in the sweltering Floridian heat. Moms-to-be should visit during the resorts off season when there are not many visitors and the temperature is comfortable enough. Try visiting in fall, winter, or early spring.

Consult Your Doctor Before Travelling

You will feel more at ease if you’ve had a check-up with your doctor before you travel to Disneyland. Schedule your appointment just before leaving so that the doctor can confirm that everything is healthy.

Take Lots of Rest Breaks

Walking around and enjoying all the rides will certainly tire you out. To keep yourself and your baby healthy and comfortable, schedule in lots of rest breaks to give your body a chance to relax. You can catch the shows at Epcot and Hollywood Studios; that’ll give you a good chance to sit down and relax. Also, if your budget allows, book an on-site hotel room as that will mean less walking for you.

Stay Hydrated

Staying hydrated, especially in the summer season, is very important. And when you’re pregnant, it’s doubly important. Bring a large water bottle to ensure that you’re drinking water throughout the day. You can have a partner or a friend carry it; and you can also fill it up from the many drinking fountains places around the resort.

Travel with a Partner

Touring Disneyland on your own can be hard enough, but doing it while you’re pregnant can get especially tough. It is better to bring a partner along for the ride. Having someone besides you can be quite comforting when you tire out.

Wear Something Comfortable

You will feel especially hot when you’re pregnant; so when it comes to dressing for Disney while pregnant, opt for comfort. Light and loose clothing with comfortable shoes will make walking around and taking the rides that much easier.

Choose the Right Rides

Generally, rides that are safe for toddlers and preschoolers will be safe for pregnant women as well. Rides without any height restriction will be safe and comfortable as well. Take a park map when you arrive to the resort and mark the rides that are the safest.
