As the holidays are fast approaching, there have been plenty of updates coming from Walt Disney World. If you are planning a visit in the next few months or you are already thinking about your 2023 Disney vacation, today we’re here to share some of the most exciting updates courtesy of our Disney vacation planners.

Walt Disney World Tickets and Annual Passes

Our team always recommends planning well ahead for your Disney vacation when it comes to choosing your park tickets. If you were hoping to buy a Disney annual pass, unfortunately, these aren’t going to be available again in 2022. We certainly hope there will be more availability next year, and we’ll keep you updated about this. If you are just buying single-day tickets or a pass for your whole vacation, you’ll find that some of these have recently had price increases. A major change that’s been announced is that different prices will be set for each of the parks for a one-day ticket. Our Disney vacation planners are always on hand to help you find the best ticket option for your unique needs and length of stay.

New Characters in the Parks

We’re always excited to see new character sightings in the parks, whether that’s through meet and greets or parade updates. In the past week, we’ve seen Raya from Raya and the Last Dragon appear in the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade. It’s another great opportunity to see a popular new character in this daily parade in the Magic Kingdom on your next Disney vacation.

It’s A Small World Updates

It’s A Small World is a classic attraction that we think everyone needs to ride at least once on their next day in the Magic Kingdom. Disney is always looking for ways to update its attractions, and our Disney vacation planners were thrilled to hear that both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris attractions will be including dolls in wheelchairs to make the ride more diverse and inclusive in the future. This is a much-needed update and one we look forward to seeing come to life soon.

Tokyo Dining Refurbishment

EPCOT is home to some of our favorite restaurants, and we particularly enjoy stopping by the Japan pavilion on each Disney vacation. Disney recently announced that Tokyo Dining will be closed for a major refurbishment. We are excited to see what’s in store for this restaurant in the future, which offers a delicious menu of sushi and authentic Japanese dishes.

These are just a few of the most recent updates from Walt Disney World. We are also excited to see all of the holiday decorations in the parks, as it’s one of our favorite times of the year for a Disney vacation. If you need assistance planning your upcoming trip, our Disney vacation planners will be on hand to answer your questions at any time about where to stay, what to do, and the best ticket options for your Walt Disney World vacation. Walt Disney World Holiday Events

The holidays have already started at Walt Disney World and our Disney vacation planners are excited to see some of their favorite events return once again. If you are visiting Orlando over the next couple of months, you’ll want to make sure you take the time to experience some of the best Walt Disney World holiday events. These are a few of our favorite things to do during the holiday season at Walt Disney World.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

This after-hours event in the Magic Kingdom is a highlight of the holiday season for many visitors to Walt Disney World. We recommend booking your tickets now for any remaining dates, as they are likely to sell out as we get closer to Christmas. The event takes place on select nights each week in the Magic Kingdom, where you’ll enjoy early admission from 4 pm. After 7 pm, the park will be open just for guests with these extra tickets, offering a parade, fireworks, sweet treats, and holiday entertainment just for the party.

Candlelight Processional

If you want to celebrate the Christmas story during a Disney vacation this holiday season, then make sure you don’t miss out on the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT. This retelling of the Christmas story features celebrity narrators and a full choir and orchestra. It’s one of the most spectacular Disney holiday events, but as you can imagine, it gets very busy as it gets closer to Christmas. If you can, try to book one of the Candlelight Processional dining packages, which will offer you a reserved seat at a select show after your table-service meal.

EPCOT Festival of the Holidays

The Candlelight Processional is just one of the special offerings in EPCOT for the holidays. As you stroll around the World Showcase, you’ll be immersed in the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays. This festival takes place throughout the holiday season, offering food booths where you can enjoy snacks and drinks from around the world. You’ll also learn more about how the holidays are celebrated elsewhere in the world, thanks to the holiday characters in each of the country’s pavilions. EPEOCT is also beautifully decorated for the holiday season, making walking around the park a wonderful experience for guests of all ages.

These are just a few of our favorite experiences at Walt Disney World this holiday season. Each of the parks has its own unique decorations and offerings for the holiday season, so make sure you visit all four of the theme parks at this time of the year to enjoy a true holiday experience. A Disney vacation at this time of the year is something that any of our Disney vacation planners would recommend, but make sure you plan ahead as much as you can. We’ll be on hand at any time to answer your questions about your next Disney Vacation and help to make it the best family vacation you’ve ever had.
