Who doesn’t love birthdays? Have your celebrations in Disneyland this year and make this the best birthday you’ve ever had!

Immediately after entering the park, find City Hall on Main Street U.S.A. and request a birthday button. This is absolutely free and will add that special touch to your big day!

Wear the button for your time spent at the park, and have cast members and other guests wish you a happy birthday, all day. You might even get a birthday song while waiting in line! For younger kids, the special telephone call service allows them to talk to one of the Disney characters and have them sing happy birthday exclusively for the child.

The best part is you don’t have to be there on your exact birthday date to have these celebrations. It’s okay to request a birthday pin a few weeks or even months belatedly and celebrate the special occasion when you get to Disneyland.

Celebrate With a Cake

Be sure to make a reservation at one of the table-service restaurants in the Disney theme parks on your birthday. Many of the restaurants in Disneyland offer special birthday packages, and you can get pre-ordered cake and goodie bags while you dine.

You can choose from plenty of Disney-themed designs for your birthday cake.  Lion King, Frozen, and Star Wars are some of the most popular options and never fail to impress. Just make sure you’re ordering your cake and making your reservation well in advance!

Go on Birthday Themed Rides

You have to try out at least one Disneyland ride that has its own birthday theme. The Winnie the Pooh is a good choice and features a scene at the end with a birthday party for Pooh. You can also go on the Alice in Wonderland ride with which has its unique “un-birthday” party style to it, or celebrate the “un-birthday” party on the giant, spinning tea cups. The Haunted Mansion ride also has the ghost blowing out candles on her birthday cake, and will be a suitable choice.

Spread the Word!

Don’t be shy to let people know it’s your big day! Do a character meet-and-greet and get their autographs and special birthday messages on a notebook. You may also request the band in New Orleans Square for a special birthday song. Live your day to the fullest; it is your day after all!
